40% Complete. Ticking.

THE BROADCAST TOWER

It rises from the Substrate to the sky. A structure that connects the deepest geological layer to the open air above — a conduit, an antenna, a weapon. The Broadcast Tower is Helixion Dynamics' endgame project, and every faction in the city knows it.

Construction Progress40%

Construction is continuous. The progress percentage is the game's ticking clock.

Purpose

The Tower is designed to broadcast neural overwrite at city-wide scale. The mesh implants that every resident carries are receivers. The firmware updates they've been receiving are preparation — tuning, calibrating, opening channels. The Tower is the transmitter.

When it reaches 100%, a single broadcast will reach every mesh-connected mind in the city simultaneously. What happens then depends on who controls the broadcast.

The Doom Pool

The Tower's progress is tied to the Doom Pool — a mechanical representation of mounting threat. The Doom Pool starts at 2d6 and grows throughout gameplay.

Growth: Player hitches (rolling 1s) add dice to the Doom Pool
Spending: The Wire DM spends Doom dice for dramatic complications:
d12: All positions worsen in active scenes
d10: Spawn zone-appropriate NPC reinforcement
d8: Add d6 complication to scene
d6: NPC acts out of turn

Faction Stakes

Every faction has a different relationship with the Tower:

Helixion DynamicsBuild it. Complete it. Broadcast compliance to every mind in the city.
Iron BloomDestroy it. The Tower represents everything they fight against.
The SignalFear it. The broadcast will sever humanity's connection to the Substrate permanently.
Chrome WolvesControl it. The broadcast could enhance augmentation city-wide.
The ParishSurvive it. Whatever happens, keep the community together.
Directorate 9Protect it. The Tower is law. The Tower is order.
FreemarketProfit from it. Sell access, sell sabotage, sell information about both.
NomadsFlee from it. When the Tower completes, be outside the broadcast radius.

“When it reaches 100%, something changes. Nobody knows what. Everyone fears it differently.”
