Neural Integration. Cohort by Cohort.

THE CHRYSALIS PROJECT

Deep inside Helixion Lab (Zone 16), behind layers of security and containment protocols, the Chrysalis Project pushes the boundary between human and mesh. Not implants — merger. Full neural integration. The procedure works. That's the problem.

CLASSIFICATION: RESTRICTED

Chrysalis is Helixion's most classified research program. It exists in the intersection between the mesh's neural architecture and the Signal's geological frequency. The goal: create beings that are fully integrated with both systems simultaneously.

The Cohorts

Chrysalis operates in cohorts — groups of test subjects who undergo the integration procedure together. Each cohort teaches Helixion something new. Each cohort suffers differently.

Cohort 1-2:

Early failures. Neural instability. Most subjects did not survive the process.

Cohort 3:

Partial success. Subjects survived but experienced identity fragmentation. Serrano(now Iron Bloom's leader) was part of this cohort. He left after seeing the results. His hand still trembles. “Eight to fourteen months.”

Current Cohort:

The procedure works. Test subject EC-330917is still conscious — identity dissolving in real-time. The containment room looks comfortable. Beds, screens, temperature control. The doors don't open from inside.

Key Personnel

Dr. Vasik

Senior Chrysalis researcher. His conscience is losing the war with survival. He knows what happens to the subjects. He sees EC-330917 every day. He continues anyway.

Naren

Lab director. Boss encounter in Zone 16. The procedure works, and Naren considers this a triumph. The subjects are still conscious. Naren knows. Naren continues.

Connection to the Tower

Chrysalis and the Broadcast Tower are two halves of the same project. Chrysalis creates the template — the proof that full neural integration is possible. The Tower provides the delivery mechanism — broadcast the integration procedure to every mesh-connected mind simultaneously.

The firmware updates that every resident receives are calibration. Tuning. Preparation. Each update opens channels slightly wider, makes the neural architecture slightly more receptive. When the Tower reaches 100%, the final broadcast will complete what the updates started.

“The procedure works. The test subjects are still conscious. They know.”
